VANS MoMA

Project Type: Retail Design

Role: Lead Design

In 2020, Vans partnered with Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to create a global collection celebrating iconic works from artists such as Salvador Dalí, Wassily Kandinsky, and Claude Monet. The collaboration translated renowned artworks into wearable canvases, bridging fine art and street culture.
As part of the launch, product was thoughtfully displayed within the MoMA Design Store, integrating seamlessly into a curated retail environment that elevated the collection as both merchandise and collectible design objects. In parallel, a dedicated build-out at Nordstrom’s flagship on 5th Avenue extended the experience into a premium retail setting, featuring large-scale art installations, bold graphic moments, and immersive storytelling that brought the collaboration to life at architectural scale. This dual-channel approach reinforced the partnership’s goal of making art more approachable through everyday products and experiential retail.
